7/2/2014 · f-act is the actual (hence the act, get it!) framerate or FPS (frames per second) achieved on your video card. Higher f-act is better. f-sim is the internal frame rate of the flight model; or the framerate the simulation (hence the sim in f-sim) is pretending to have.
4/2/2018 · f-sim is the simulated frame rate. F-act is the actual frame rate. If your actual frame rate is lower than 20 X-Plane will try to simulate a higher fps I believe. It sounds like you will need to turn down the graphics options.

This number is the direct result of two other outputs, shown below f-sim/sec – This is the frame rate the simulator is processing for the purpose of maintaining stability to the flight model. If you haven’t adjusted your flight model, in the settings, disregard this for now.

12/2/2011 · The F-sim and F-ACT is very confusing. The F-SIM is constantly sitting at 19.90 fps. However, Ive seen it climb by stutters to 20 and even 23, only to drop back to 19.90 again, stable for 10 minutes or so. What causes the F-sim to go up like that??? Even with F-ACT being 24 fps, the F.
