It has a typo in it and what should be environment variables are set after calling the atom executable, resulting in Atom treating it as arguments in the form of files that it should open.

Okay. I have an update. I uninstalled Atom. Then I deleted the ~/.atom, and ~/.config/Atom directories.. I then reinstalled Atom. When I started the newly installed Atom the problem was still there.

Integrated debugging and variable exploration is quite nice, and these all require less out-of-the-box configuration on VSCode (or Juno even) meaning less work when working on industry and work computers.
